... Hilary
Hilary began her singing career at the age of 15 under the tutorship of
Margaret Cozens LRAM. Her voice quickly developed and in 1978 Hilary won the
Freda Parry Scholarship to attend the Guildhall School of Music.
Competition in music festivals across the coutry brought many awards and in
1981 Hilary received further recognition winning the Young Singer prize at
the Llangollen International Eisteddfod.
More recently Hilary was admitted as a Performance Associate of the Royal
College of Music and in July 2004 gained the Certificate of Teaching of the
Associate Board of the Royal School of Music.
Hilary is a founder member of the acclaimed Southend-on-Sea ladies choir
'The Fidelio Singers'.
Solo performances have seen Hilary at the Royal Albert Hall in 1982 and the
Wembley Conference Centre in 1986 as the Salvation Army's featured soloist.
In 2009 she will be performing in many concerts as a solist and with
Trillogy throughout the South East.
Professionally, Hilary is a teacher of music at 3 different schools in South
Essex and the Director of the St Bernard's Chamber Choir in Westcliff.
